AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with a purchase of a utility <br />truck for the utility department. <br /> <br />2. Background. Public Works Staff presented this purchase at the 2024 CIP meeting in October. The <br />newly formed dedicated utility department, has an additional employee and a need for a second utility <br />truck was identified. This will allow the department to function more efficient and be more predictive. <br />Staff found a truck that suits the current need from Buffalo Ford. <br /> <br />3. Scope. Purchase Utility truck and related tools to outfit. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The city received quote, listed below. <br /> <br />Company Company / Model Cost <br />Buffalo Ford 2015 F350 $ 30,844.28 <br />5. Funding. This project will be funded through the Equipment Fund. The 2024 Capital <br />Improvement Plan (CIP) will be adjusted for this purchase. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
