Gaffron, Asst Planning & Zoning Administrator
June 13r 1989
Subject: #1421 David Kirklund» 625 Spring Hill Road -
Septic Review
I have reviewed the site evaluation report submitted by Mark
Gronberg for the above referenced subdivision proposalr and would
make the following comments:
1. The existing residence on Lot 1 is served by an existing
septic system southwest of the house. That septic system is
apparently functioning adequately, and there is no evidence
of discharge to the surface.
2. The existing drainfield appears to be entirely within
the proposed boundaries of Lot 1 and probing confirms there
is no drainfield within 30* of the proposed lot line.
3. An alternate drainfield site has been tested for Lot 1
and would be suitable for a pressure distribution mound.
Lot 1 would appear to have numerous possible sites for
future drainfield area, hence the proposed subdivision will
have no effect on limitiii^ the future septic needs of Lot 1
4. Proposed Lot 2 has been tested and found to contain at
least 2 suitable sites for primary and alternate drainfield
areas. The topography and lot line configuration allow for
some flexibility in placement of a house on Lot 2, and at
least 1 or 2 additional drainfield sites could probably be
located within the lot boundaries. In all cases, drainfield
sites would appear to be downhill from the probable building
site.
Both sites on Lot 2 would require pressure distribution
mound systems due to potential of seasonal saturation zones
as identified by soil mottling at a depth of 2-3.5'.
Based on the above Information, I would recommend approval
of this subdivision as proposed, finding that suitable primary
and alternate drainfield sites have been Identified for each
proposed lot.
D
wyiiiS^i'^y’: :a
I• x: : ■ ■ J
i
r'l'i-'y ■
w
■■‘t.
....
if
ir.
Si'
:.r-- . :•
