Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay# MN 55323 <br />ATIENTION; Mr. Mike Gaffron <br />SUBJECT: Variance Application for Property located at 2755 Casco Point Road <br />Dear Mike: <br />It was a pleasure meeting with you in your office the other day regarding the <br />above property and variance application. As you are aware# my wife and I are <br />contenplating the purchase of the lot mentioned at the above property site; <br />however# we are incurring some problems with respect to the haurdcover variance <br />situation on Casco Point. We would like very much to live on C^co Point; <br />however# due to some of the regulations in the area# it is making it difficult <br />for us to plan our future home on this lot. Enclosed you will find a sunmary <br />of our thoughts# along with our objective outline for the Planning Coomission <br />and Orono City Council. Please review this letter closely and forward to your <br />associates for their review as well. <br />As indicated above# my wife and I are very excited about the thought of living <br />on Casco Point in Orono# Minnesota. It is our objective to build an <br />average~size house of approximately 2#800 square feet on this location with an <br />attached garage. The size of this house will be average; however# the quality <br />of the contraction will be above afbrcige# as we are aware of the exclusivity <br />of Cewco Point. We aure awaure of the setback requirements and variances needed <br />for our house# and we would lilce very much to comply one hundred percent with <br />the City of Orono requirements. However# I believe that all of the setbacks <br />and requirements have been adhered to# except for the hardcover variance which <br />we are applying for. <br />There are several problems that arise wh«i contemplating new construction on <br />the above mentioned lot. As you are aware# the lot is only W feet wide at <br />the building site# and the squaure footage of the lot in which to build on <br />contains approximately 10#450 scpiare feet of buildable area.
