It was noted that at this time the plan is to continue using the camp in the manner that it has been used. The goal of Temple Israel has always been to keep the facility with as much natural beauty intact as possible. To that end, there is no plan to sell the property or radically change the use at this time. One couple commented that when many trees had to be removed due to Dutch Elm disease, much of their natural sight/sound barrier
to the camp was lost. When asked whether there had been consi-
deration given to replacing these trees, it was noted that the
issue had never before been raised. This concern can be looked
into by members of the Camp Committee vrfio are responsible for
the grounds and maintenance.
In general, people at the meeting seemed to be comfortable with
the plans that were reviewed at the camp. Many supportive
comments were made about the programs now in place. Several
persons mentioned that they would like to be invited back a bit
sooner the next time (there has never been a meeting like this;,
and how informative it was. This idea was noted, and it was
felt that it would be nice if members of community could meet
the professional leadership of Camp Teko every few years to
address concerns and keep people informed. Possible future
meetings will be looked into. All in all, it was a
tive session that allowed many neighbors to meet for the first
time.
pi ^
mm
77^
mp rM P.7
llS:iiil*7l7WrS
tv
mmPmi
7 ;•>?/. 77':;:
■rim:
■f^
mmm
.
