Planning & Zoning Administrator <br />DATE:November 9. 1993 <br />SUBJECT: #1874 Gar>- DeSantis;Sailors World, 1955 Shoreline Drive - Variance <br />Continuation of Public Hearing <br />List of Exhibits <br />A - Applicant ’s Letter and Revised Prop osal 11/1.93 <br />B - Applicant ’s Submittal Re: Parking at An Center <br />C - Notice of Planning Commission Action 10/27;93 <br />D - Planning Commission Minutes 10/18/93 <br />E - Memo and Exhibits of 10/14/93 <br />Planning Commission tabled this application at the October meeting, allowing applicant <br />to return with a revi,sed proposal which might include a storage addition to the existing building <br />rather than free standing modules. <br />Applicant has submitted a revised proposal for a single storage unit located in the 75-250^ <br />zone, indicating that the potential for addition to the existing building would yield only a 6’x6’ <br />storage area (presumably this is due to existing door and window locations). <br />Applicant has listed the items for which he requires storage area. Further, he has <br />provided a letter of agreement with the Minnetonka Art Center, approximately 1/4 mile west <br />of the marina. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Planning Commission is requested to consider the applicant ’s revised proposal. If <br />Planning Commission determines that a suitable hardship exists and the location of the single <br />proposed module is appropriate, then any recommendation for approval might address screening, <br />off site parking, and whether hardcover tradeoffs are needed <br />' ■ -■* •-*-■-* ■'
