f <br />.►:.y <br />§ 11.40 <br />\^/ SEC. 11.40.road dedication and reservations . <br />Subd. 1. New Perimeter Streets. Street systems in new <br />subdivisions shall be laid out so as to eliminate or avoid new <br />perimeter half-streets. Where an existing half-street is adjacent <br />to a new subdivision, the other half of the street shall be <br />improved and dedicated by the subdiv.der. The City may authorize a <br />new perimeter street where the subdivider improves and dedicates <br />the entire required street right-of-way width within his own <br />subdivision boundaries. <br />Subd. 2. Widening and Realignment of Existing Roads. <br />Where a subdivision borders an existing narrow road or when the <br />Comprehensive Municipal Plan or some other agency indicates plans <br />for realignment or widening a road that would require use of some <br />of the land in the subdivision, the subdivider shall be required to <br />imorove and dedicate at his expense such areas for widening or <br />realignment of such roads. Such frontage roads and streets shall <br />be improved and dedicated by the subdivider at his own expense to <br />the full width as required by this Chapter. <br />Subd. 3. Land reserved for any road purposes may not be <br />counted in satisfying yard or area requirements of the Zoning <br />Chapter whether the land is to be dedicated to the City in fee <br />simple or an easeirit- ‘t i- granted to the City. <br />SEC. 11.41. DRAINAGE AND STORM SEWERS <br />Subd. 1. General Requirements. The City shall not <br />aporove any subdivision which does not make adequate provision for <br />storm or flood water runoff. Surface water drainage patterns shall <br />be shown for each and every lot and block. The storm water <br />drainage system shall be separate and independent of any sanitary <br />sewer system. Storm sewers, where required, shall be designed by <br />the method as approved by the City, and a copy of design <br />tions shall be submitted along with plans. Inlets shall be <br />provided so that surface water is not carried across or around any <br />intersection, nor for a distance of more than 600 feet the <br />gutter in urban areas. When calculations indicate ^" <br />capacities are exceeded at a point, no further allowance <br />made for flow beyond that point, and basins shall be used to <br />intercept flow at that point. <br />Subd. 2. Nature of Storm Water Facilities. <br />A. Location. The subdivision shall be required by <br />the City to carry away by pipe or open ditch any spring or surface <br />water that may exist either previously ^ the road <br />subdivision. Such drainage facilities shall be <br />right-of-way where feasible, or in with <br />of aopropriate width, and shall be constructed i <br />the City's construction standards and specifications. <br />ORONO CC 464 (4-1-84)
