r. <br />MINUTES OF THE ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />HELD MAY 17, 1993 <br />ZONING FILE »1822 - CONT <br />It was moved by Peterson, seconded by Berg, to approve Application <br />#1822 for Mark Prueter, 3215 Crystal bay Road, approving setback, <br />hardcover and average setback variances for an addition to the rear <br />of the existing residence and a deck, subject to conditions set <br />forth in staff’s memo, and conditioned upon a drainage plan being <br />provided. Ayes 4, nays 3. Smith, Nolan and Rowlette voted nay. <br />Mayor Callahan questioned how access is gained to the property. <br />Prueter answered he thought he had an access easement running <br />parallel to the railroad tracks. <br />(#5) #1823 MARGE ROSSING, <br />130 CYGNET PLACE - <br />VARIANCE - PUBLIC HEARING 7:37 - 8:14 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were noted. <br />Marge Rossing was present. <br />Mabusth explained the applicant proposes a 20x28’ addition to the <br />north side of the house, and a 26x38’ detached garage which meets <br />the 10’ separation setback from adjacent structures. There is no <br />hardcover or structural coverage problems. <br />Rossing explained the addition is to accommodate the care of her <br />brother. The detached garage is needed as the existing attached <br />garage will become a part of the residence. <br />Peterson quest Ioned what will be stored in the new garage and noted <br />construction equipment on the property during his inspection. <br />Rossing stated the equipment was there to facilitate the clean up <br />of the property, and none will be stored on the property. <br />Mabusth noted the encroachment onto the Wirtjes property. <br />Rossing noted those items have been removed. <br />Peterson questioned the need for an additional garage. <br />Rossing noted the large detached garage is storage area for boats. <br />4 <br />r
