* 9 <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 14 (C) AND <br />10.22, SUBDIVISION 2 <br />FILE NO. 2083 <br />WHEREAS, Bernice M. Zumbusch (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner of <br />the propertv' located at 1535 Long Lake Boulevard within the City of Orono (hereinafter the <br />City") and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 19. Albee’s Long Lake Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter <br />"the propert) "); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City' for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 14 (C) and Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 to permit the <br />reconstruction of an approximate 38’ x 10' deck and stair to the lake side ot the existing <br />residence where structural excesses exist at 1,832 s.f and where 1.500 s.f. would be allov^ed <br />and the deck located within the 75-250* setback area consists of 3.957 s.t. or 87.35% hardcover <br />and 3,795 s.f. or 83.7% is proposed and where 25% is allowed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. <br />3. <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2083. <br />The property is located in the LR-IA Lakeshore Residential Zoning District <br />requiring two acres in area. The property consists of 9,140 s.f or .21 acres. <br />The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on November 20, <br />1995 and recommended unanimous approval ot the variances as amended, based <br />upon tlie follow-ing unique findings and hardships: <br />Page 1 of 5
