Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, Minnesota 5o323 <br />COUNTY ROAD 15 FR0I4 ORONO ORCHARD ROAD 10 HILLSIDE DRIVE <br />COUNTY ROAD 15..AT, bkAUhirS KilNl <br />Dear Mr. Gerbardson; ' <br />The purpose of this letter is lo convey information on ricjht of way costs <br />for eSAH 15 from Orono Orchard Road to Hillsido Drive and construct.ion/ <br />riyht of way costs for CSAH 15 at Brackett’s Point. <br />CountY Road 15 From Orono Orchard Road to Hil Isidc pri.yc <br />As directed by the city council, we have (1) re-exutnined ttie right of costs <br />and have (2) estimated the value of city-owned right of way that could be <br />used for wetland mitigation. <br />Based upon a field review of the impacts of the affected properties with nur <br />Real Estate Manager, the estimated right of costs were adjusted downward. <br />We believe the right of way in Orono v:oiild be acquired for approximately <br />$130,000. Orono’s snare of that cost would he 50* or $65,000. <br />As you recall, a fielii trip involvir.q you, Joel Settles, Dave Swenson and <br />myselt, yielded that city-owned right of way may be eligible for use as a <br />wetland mitigation site. Iliat right of way is estimated to have a value of <br />$15,000. According to I he founly’s Divisiun of Cost Policy with <br />Muniripalitics, right of way costs for wetland mitigation would be split <br />50/50 between the city and the county.
