Drielly, applieants original <br />requested a land alteration/'CUP and variance to excavate in the 0-75 zone to eliminate poison i^. <br />and install boulder retaining walls at the base of the lakeshore slope as w ell as at the top ot the slope. <br />At their August meeting, the Planning Commission tabled the application, finding no justification <br />for the slope excavation nor the lower retaining walls at the shoreline. <br />\nnlicams revised their proposal to include merely the boulder retaining walls at the top of the slope <br />wl s mmor f.lling above .o create a somewhat ilaher yard area near the house and reduce <br />surficial erosion. <br />.\rulicants- contractor further indicated that all Itindscape fabric will be removed from the fl-75' zone <br />leav inn just the 4' x 40' stairwav and arptoxim.ately 95 lineal teet ot new boulder walls nomuullv <br />at a : Vidm. for a total hardcover of 352 s.f. or 3.75'. in the 0-75' zone. <br />Planninu Commission indicated that no grading at the base of the slope or on the slope itself should <br />le aTproved and anv plantings proposed on the slope should be accomplished without excavating <br />the stope. Note that'the boulder walls at the top of the slope arc expected to he less Ihim . m height.
