Planning & Zoning Administrator <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Zoning <br />Item Description: Maxwell Bay Access Updaie/Schedule Lake Use Commiuee Meeting <br />DNR has been making slow’ but visible progress on the Maxwell Bay access: <br />• The gas station, Gayle ’s quonset, and the Sprague buildings were removed within <br />the last two weeks. The Dunn house is scheduled for removal in the very near <br />fumre. <br />Peer Environmental is coordinating the contamination clean-up work. Soil <br />excavation and site restoration will be done by Peiro Tank Services. Trucking <br />of contaminated soil to a site where it will be burned is being done by C.S. <br />McCrossan. This work was occurring the week of September 18th. <br />The DNR’s survey crew was scheduled to be on the site last week, >i.ai <br />Lynell of the DNR is expecting to have a revised concept plan completed by <br />October 3rd. <br />Apparently discussions with Ramberg/Scho.'iemcn are continuing, and it now <br />seems hopefi'l that they will come to an agreement to sell their property to the <br />DNR. <br />Ron Moorse. John Gerhardson and I met with Larry Killien on September 13th <br />to get an update and discuss issues relating to the turn lane <br />(specifications/responsibility for design and construction/funding). <br />It is appropriate to schedule a Lake Use Committee meeting for October 4. 5 or <br />6 at 8:00 a.m., to review the following issues; <br />1. Review planning and approval process. <br />Discuss time liiie for approvals and construction. <br />3. Discuss turn lane issues. <br />4. Review updated conceptual site plan
