The background <br />investication has now been completed (Attachment A). <br />Establish a Public Hearing . <br />Tlie Council needs to establish a date for the public hearing regarding this application. Ihis <br />public hearing must be held within 30 days of the police report and must be published as a legal <br />notice at least 10 days prior to the hearing and contain the following inlormation: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />Date, time and place, <br />name of applicant, <br />place where business is to be conducted, <br />any other information the Council may direct <br />In order to meet the 30 day requirement, the date and time ot the public hearing must be <br />selected at either the September 11 or 25 Council meeting, with the public hearing in October. <br />The notice would be published the following Monday and the hearing could not be held until the <br />required 10 days had passed. If the Council takes action at the September 11 meeting, the <br />hearing could he scheduled for the October 9 Council meeting. <br />COL2SCIL ACTION REQl ESTKI): <br />Motion to establish a public hearing on at p.m. in the Orono Council Chambers, <br />2780 Kelley Parkway, to consider an off-sale liquor license application.
