TO; <br />FROM: <br />DATE: <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Ron Moofsc, Citv’ Adminiscraior <br />August 24, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: Update Regarding Health Concerns at 1972 Shady wood Road <br />By order of the Hennepin County Health Department, Mr. Nehring has stopped all feeding of <br />w^ildlife and continues to clean up his lot. The pest control service has done its work on the <br />Nehring property and on adjacent properties. The rat problem is being controlled. The City’s <br />Building and Zoning and Police Departments, the County’s Health Department, and pest the <br />control service will continue to closely monitor both the rat problem and the general activities <br />on the Nehring property. It is very important that Mr. Nehring refrain from feeding any <br />wildlife. The plan is to convince Mr. Nehring to enter into a plea arrangement through which <br />he will agree to refrain from feeding any wildlife on his property for an extended period of time. <br />Much of the information regarding this issue is private or confidential. The details of this issue <br />should not be discussed at any public meeting.
