It is also recommended that Lt cheswtck <br />receive additional pay for the Acting Police Chiet duties. <br />A general guideline for additional pay for serving in an "acting” role is that the [Kison should <br />receive a tSliimum of 5% above current pay or the Hrst step of the pay range of 'he <br />in which the person will be acting, which ever is greater. Ll. Cheswtck s pay rate is currently <br />$22.18 per hour. Tlie first step of the Police Chief pay range is $24.32 per hour. The <br />difference is $2.14 per hour or 9.6%. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve the appointment of Lt. Gary Cheswick as Acting Police Chief at a pay rate <br />of $24.32 per hour. <br />J
