Date: <br />To: <br />From: <br />Subject: <br />May 2, 1995 <br />All Officers <br />Chief Sullivan <br />Department Goals for May, 1995 <br />At the May 1, 1995 Corporal's meeting, the following goals <br />have been established for our department during the month of May. <br />Overall Goals <br />From May 1, 1995 until Labor Day, our goal is to have a <br />minimum patrol strength of at least three "B” shift officers on <br />duty. On Friday and Saturday nights, our goal is to have a third <br />officer on duty until 3:00 a.m. <br />No comp time or vacation time off may be granted unless <br />minimum coverage is maintained. Comp time and vacation time <br />requests should be submitted with at least two days prior notice <br />whenever possible. <br />Coverage may drop down to only two officers after 11 p.ra. <br />only if someone calls in sick. <br />Long Lake <br />Our focus will be on foot patrol, especially in Town Center <br />to reduce loitering, littering, and vandalism. Also, door checks <br />and other crime prevention proactive patrol. <br />Extra effort should be directed to reduce burglaries and <br />vehicle break-ins. These efforts should include TOC bicycle <br />patrol, foot patrol, and plain clothes details. <br />Traffic enforcement for speeders on Highway 12 by Lindawood <br />and all traffic violations within the work zone along Highway 12. <br />Minnetonka Beach <br />Billable traffic patrol will start. If an officer is <br />assigned to that detail, the officer should not be used for other <br />calls even within Minnetonka Beach. <br />Other officers should patrol residential side streets.
