WHEREAS, the City has adopted a bike/hike trail system plan that links <br />residential areas with recreatiorail and community facilities, and <br />WHEREAS, the trail system plan includes a traU on Old Crystal Bay Road, and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed trail on Old Crystal Bay Road will connect the IU« <br />Line Trail with Baker Park, and'^will provide a nan^rtation link to the cty facdmes and the <br />Orono schools campus and its numerous recreational facilities, and <br />WHEREAS, the City is not able to fully fund the Old Crystal Bay Road Trail <br />WHEREAS, the trail project is eligible for funding through the Cooperative TraU <br />Grant ^*'^ministe^ed by the DNR. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council dMS <br />herebv concur with the partial funding of the Old Crystal Bay Road trail through the <br />T^lGrr program; and does hereby name Tom Kuehn City Finance Director, as the city s <br />Fiscal Agent for the Old Crystal Bay Road bike/hike trail project. <br />project, and <br />ATTEST:Edward J.
