Gerhardson <br />Title Public Works Director <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Public Works <br />Item Description: Crystal Bay Playground Fencing and Landscaping Proposal <br />Recently the City has developed a comprehensive plan for Crystal Bay Playground. The plan <br />shows landscaping, fencing, playground equipment, ice skating rink, a walking path and gazebo. <br />Council directed the Park Commission and staff to acquire bids for Phase One of the <br />improvements which is landscaping, fencing and playground equipment. <br />Although we are in the process of acquiring one more playground bid, we have received bids <br />for the fencing and some of the landscaping. <br />The landscaping low bid from McKay Nursery is <br />The fencing low bid was from Sterling Fence at <br />Pathway (will be done at time of parking lot construction) <br />$4,000 <br />$3,500 <br />$1.000 <br />$8,500 <br />The above items should be placed in May because of the planting of trees and bushes. <br />Playground equipment bids will be presented when received and reviewed to assure compliance <br />with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). <br />COU’NCIL ACTION REQLTISTED: <br />To approve the landscaping, fencing and pathway bids for Crystal Bay Playground for an amount <br />of $8,500 and that the amounts be paid from the Park Dedication Fund.
