MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF ORONO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 278 HELD ON MARCH 14, 1995 Prior to the start of the Board meeting, the Board members met with the high school student Advisory Council in order to provide the high school student population the opportunity for communication/discussion with the Board of Education. The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Orono Independent School District No. 278 was held on March 14, 1995. Present: James Franklin Peg Swanson Thomas Mich John Maresh Martha Van de Ven Meal Lawson Absent: Jack Veach Board member Pamela Schroeder arrived while the meeting was in progress. UPON MOTION by John Maresh, seconded by Martha Van de Ven, the consent agenda was approved as follows: - approved the minutes of the February 28, 1995 regular meeting; approved the reduction of the status of Janet Lindberg, Community Education Secretary, to a half*>time position; accepted the resignation of Gertie Corpe, Food Service Director, effective June 30, 1995; accepted the resignation of Jan Lockwood, District Office Receptionist, effective June 30, 1995; - accepted the resignation of Beverly D. Saatoff, Secretary to the Assistant Principal of the Orono Middle School, effective at the end of her 1994-95 contract; accepted the resignation of Lois Zak, Orono Primary School teacher, effective at the end of the 1994-95 school year; approved the request from the high school for an extended field trip to Spain; - approved the Treasurer's Report for February, 1995; approved the bills as covered by vouchers 086570 through 086832 and office checks as covered by vouchers 5031 through 5086; directed Community Education Director, Melanie DeLuca and her staff to plan and implement the 1995 Summer School/Summer Recreation programs; dates are June 19 - July 20, 1995. Motion carried. Board member Schroeder absent.
