The city should have an <br />ordinance prohibiting the connection of roof drains and sump pumps to the sanitary sewer system. <br />1 — A A C t> Sunitnary of the city’s requirements for on-site sewage disposal systems including installation, <br />^ ' ' * biennial inspection of all existing systems by certified personnel, permit record keeping, li^nsing, <br />maintenance and remedial actions. The Council s policy is that all systems be inspected biennialy <br />by MPCA certified personnel. New s>’stems must meet Minn. Regs. 7080. <br />H 14. Council records indicate that the city has amended its comprehensive plan to incorporate the <br />Council ’s Interim Strategy for the Reduction of Nonpoint Source Pollution and will amend its <br />land use conlroU to implement the policy by May, 1995. Is the city on track to complete this task <br />by May? <br />15. There are several city development policies of concern to the Council. These are the city s <br />land use polices for future development, and y plans for handling/treatment of wastewater and <br />transportation to ser\'e this development. Also, the city s plan for expanding life-cycle and <br />affordable housing is a Council concern. <br />The city’s current plan indicates that development in the area outside the MUSA is currently <br />planned for 2-acre lots served by on-site sanitary disposal systems.
