B. Administration Optional. <br />The following optional Appendix Chapters of the 1994 Uniform Building Code <br />are hereby adopted and incorporated as part of the building code for this <br />municipality as authorized by Minnesota rule part 1305.0020. <br />1. 15, Reroofing <br />2. 31, Division II, Membrane Structures <br />C. The following optional chapters of Minnesota rule are hereby adopted and <br />incorporated as part of the building code for this municipality. <br />1. 1306, Special Fire Protection Systems with option 8 (Group M, S, or F <br />occupancies with 2,(XX) or more gross square feet) <br />2. 1335, Floodproofing Regulations <br />Subdivision 2. Organization and Enforcement. The organization of the Building Department <br />and enforcement of the Code shall be as established by Chapter 1 of the Uniform Building Code <br />1994 Edition. The Code shall be enforced with the corporate limits of the City and <br />extraterritorial limits permitted by States Statutes 1984. <br />A. The Building and Zoning Department shall be the Building Code Department of <br />the City of Orono. <br />B. The Administrative Authority shall be the State Certified Building Official <br />C. The appointing Authority shall designate the Building Official for the jurisdiction <br />of Orono. <br />Subdivision 3. <br />1. Permits, Inspections and Fees. Permits, inspections and collection of fees shall <br />be provided in Chapter 1 of the Uniform Building Code 1994 Edition. <br />2.Surcharge. In addition to the permit fee required by Item #1, the applicant shall <br />pay a surcharge to be remitted to the Minnesota Department of Administration as <br />prescribed by Minnesota Statutes 1984, Section 16B.70. <br />Subdivision 4. Violations and Penalties. Shall be in keeping with Minnesota Statutes 609.033 - <br />609.034 which provides for a maximum fine of $700.00 <br />Subdivision 5. Adoption and Publication. This ordinance shall be effective upon adoption, and <br />a short summary shall be published in THE PIONEER and THE LAKER newspapers. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono on this 10th day of April, 1995. <br />ATTEST: <br />Dorothy M.
