MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 27, 1995 <br />(#1 - CDBG Public Hearing - Continued) <br />Gerhardson asked L’AIlier if Sojourner meets the Hennepin County eligibility <br />requirements regulating this program L’AIlier did not know and asked that the City <br />contact Sally Hebson of Sojourner regarding the requirements. Council recommended <br />reallocating $1,500 from the Housing and Rehabilitation ponion to this program if <br />qualified. <br />Dan and Val Hessburg represented Westonka Intervention and reported that the amount <br />requested by their program had been increased to $1,800 this year. Their proposed <br />shelter will be coming before the Council in the near future. W estonka has asked all <br />contributing communities for more money this year <br />Margaret Holste represented WeCan, which serv es the West Tonka area. Holste <br />presented WeCan's budget from their audit to the Council. Holste reported that this <br />procram initially served emergency needs and budget counseling, but has now added <br />jobs-in-training to their program, and ask for continuation of the $1,500 contribution. <br />Kelley moved, Goetten seconded, to amend CDBG Allocation of Funds, Resolution <br />#3527, as; Westonka Intervention portion to $1,300 and add Sojourner Adult Day <br />Program, if they meet the eligibility requirements, in the amount of $1,500. These <br />additional amounts would come from the Housing and Rehabilitation allocation. Ayes 3. <br />Nays 0. <br />(*#2) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Item #5 was added to the Consent Agenda Goetten moved, Kelley seconded, to <br />approve the Consent Agenda as amended Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />(*#3) REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 13,1995 <br />Goetten moved, Kelley seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular City Council <br />Meeting of February 13, 1995. Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Park Commissioner Robert Howells had no comments. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />There was no representative of the Planning Commission present.
