Gerhardson <br />Title Public Works Director <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Public Works <br />Item Description: Easement Acquisition <br />During the plannins for the location of the bike/hike trail from Baker Park to the Luce Line, it <br />was determined tha't permanent and temporary easements would have to be acquired at certain <br />locations alone the route of the trail. The property adjacent to County Road 6 from Old Crystal <br />Bay to Homes~tead Trail is a property that we will need permanent and temporary easements. <br />I have discussed the acquisition with the property owner and have agreed that the value of the <br />easements is $1,288.80 for 5.370 s.f. of land. <br />There will be no compensation for a temporary easement. <br />It is recommended to purchase a permanent easement from Michael Seeland for $1,288.80 for <br />the construction of a bike/hike traU adjacent to the property at 2940 Sixth Avenue North. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />To authorize purchase of a permanent easement from Michael Seeland for $1,288.80 for toe <br />construction of a bike/hike trail adjacent to toe property at 2940 Sixth Avenue North. Monies <br />to purchase this easement should come from the Park Dedication fund.
