Two significant changes in this draft are as follows: <br />1. The project no longer includes the construction of aeration systems. These have been <br />replaced by chemical treatment using alum. <br />2. The costs for which the city is responsible are the sediment removal costs of the wet <br />detention ponds. The city ’s annual share of these costs is estimated to be S4.535 per <br />vear. <br />The other responsibilities of the city under this agreement would be as follows: <br />A. Prepare a local water management plan for this area, and submit it to the MCWD <br />for review and approval prior to construction of the improvements. <br />B. Agree to develop policies and disseminate information on best management <br />practices and include these in the water management plan. <br />C. Clean the fish barrier in the County Road 6 pond. <br />D. Provide a representative to the project advisory committee. <br />Questions Remaining Unanswered <br />1. <br />tkm • <br />The agreement expires in the year 2000 and may be renewed for another 5 year term if <br />all parties agree.
