I »3:1 >rr.COMPRI <br />NO. 2 - <br />CONTIHUATIOH OP POBLIC HEARING <br />Con-.'ultant Planner John Shardlow was present for this <br />matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained that the <br />Comprehensive Plan document presented is the culmination <br />of the Highway 12 Corridor Study which started in <br />September 1985. The document implements the changes to <br />the comprehensive plan and will be presented to the <br />Metropolitan Council with the appropriate application in <br />order that the City may have the appropriate MUSA line <br />extension approved by the Metro Council together with <br />various other reviews by Met Council of significant <br />impacts on the regional systems. This planning document <br />will also be used as development takes place within the <br />corridor. He reviewed the following final items for <br />Planning Commission to conceptually review and make <br />their recommendations: <br />A. North Brown Road Alternatives <br />B. Area 4 - Sid Rebers Property <br />C. Area E - Requirement to Extend Municipal Services <br />Request from Cici (Busy Beaver Day Care Center) to <br />connect the new facility to the the Long Lake City <br />Water & Sewer System. <br />D. Engineer's Report - Concerning existing capacity <br />of Long Lake water system and impact of proposed <br />Orono use at 600 sewer unit level. <br />E. Eisenger - Written request to withdraw request <br />for sewer for consideration with the current <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment. <br />F. Further discussion of Areas 1,2,3, and 5. <br />Jeffrey Roos, Long Lake City Engineer, was present and <br />made the following comments: <br />1. Regarding the traffic plan. Long Lake is opposed <br />to any option that closes North Brown Road. <br />2. Regarding a south frontage road from Willow Drive <br />to Daniel St., there is concern about the traffic on <br />Daniel Street. <br />3. Regarding the water issue - Long Lake will review <br />requests to hook up to its water system with <br />consideration of demand and if Long Lake can support <br />the system. <br />i. <br />!
