NIMOffiS OF WE FlAniHG COMNISSIOH iniiG SBPTBfBEB 18» 1989 <br />:* <br />ZORIII6 FILE •145«-BMFIBLD CONTINUKD <br />Mrs. Brad ChiIdsr the prospective buyers of the property. <br />Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Gaffron <br />explained that this is an application requesting approval of an <br />after-the-fact structure-to-structure setback variance for a <br />detached garage. Gaffron said that approval of this variance <br />should be conditioned upon inspection by the City to verify that <br />appropriate fire walls exist in both garages. <br />Mr. Childs expressed his support for the approval of the <br />variance. <br />There were no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />Planning Commissioner Cohe.; observed that the City had <br />written a letter to the Emfields on June 17, 1986 and questioned <br />whether anything further happened beyond that date? <br />Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth replied that the <br />Emfield's building contractor was supposed to meet with the <br />City's Building Official, but did not follow through. Mrs. <br />Emfield said that the contractor had indicated that he had <br />followed through, but he had not. <br />There were no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved ''y Chairman Kelley, seconded by Planning <br />Commissioner Coh'~-.«, to recommend approval of the after-the-fact <br />structure-to-structure setback variance for a detached garage, <br />subject to the City's inspection of the fire wall and that the <br />garage remain detached. Motion, Ayes-6, Mays^O, Motion passed. <br />*1458 BLAKE M. BICBAHICH <br />332 NB8TLAKB STREET <br />VARIANCE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:50 P.N. TO 9:05 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were <br />duly noted. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Bichanich were present for this matter. <br />Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Gaffron provided <br />a brief explanation of this application for a side setback <br />variance to construct a second story addition. Gaffron also said <br />that the ex.^sting drainfield system is small and does not meet <br />the current codes, but it seems to be working. Gaffron also <br />explained the septic concerns involved with the proposed <br />expansion of this property (see MPG memo of 9/15/89). <br />Chairman Kelley asked Mr. Bichanich what the current use of <br />the guest house is and what he plans to do with the two lots?
