These areas will be heated and cooled by an all air system. A single zone <br />forced air furnace located in the mechanical room will provide heating and <br />cooling for these areas. Heated or cooled air will be supplied to the spaces <br />from ceiling diffusers. A relief air fan connect to the return air duct will re <br />move excess air from the space to control space pressurization. <br />These areas will be heated and cooled by an all air system. A single zone <br />forced air furnace with a modulating gas bemer located in the mechanical room <br />will provide heating and cooling for this area. Heated or cooled air will be <br />supplied to the spaces from ceiling diffusers. All air supplied to this area will <br />be exhausted. <br />Excess heat from the desiccant dryer will be used to heat the spectator seating <br />arex Ventilation air for the room will be inttoduced to the space through this <br />fan system. Excess heat from the chiller engine will be used to provide heat in <br />lieu of the gas furnaces if a natural gas engine chiller is used for ice making. <br />All electrical motors provided for mechanical equipment shall be high effi <br />ciency motors to reduce operating costs. <br />All mechanical equipment shall be mounted on vibration isolators to prevent <br />the transmission of vibration and mechanically transmitted sound to the build <br />ing structure. <br />All cold, hot and recirculating hot water piping shall have fiberglass insulation. <br />All outside air ducts, concealed supply air ducts and return air ductwork in <br />unconditioned spaces shall be externally insulated. <br />The building will be protected by a dry pipe automatic fire sprinkler system. <br />All rooms with finished ceilings will have concealed type fire sprinkler heads. <br />Rooms without a finished ceiling will have pendant type heads. A separate <br />water service shall be provided for the fire protection system The fire protec <br />tion system shall comply with NFPA requirements and meet all state and local <br />codes. <br />A 4" domestic water service wil be provided. Domestic water piping shall be <br />type “K" copper with 95/5 soldered fittings. <br />Below grade waste piping shall be standard weight cast iron pipe with hub and <br />spigot or no hub fittings. Above grade waste and vent piping shall be standard, <br />schedule 40 steel pipe with hub and spigot or no hub fittings. <br />Floor drains shall be cast iron with chrome top finishes in the toilets.
