NOTICE OF TRUNK HIGITWAY 12 CORRIDOR PROPOSAL PUBLIC HEARING / <br />PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING AND AVAILABILITY OF CORRIDOR <br />PROPOSAL REPORT <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 161.173, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is hereby <br />giving notice of a Mn/DOT-sponsored Public Hearing and Open House Information Meeting on <br />Thursday, November 21, 1996, at the Orono High School Cafeteria, 795 Old Crystal Bay Road, <br />Orono, Minnesota. <br />The Public Hearing will be conducted using a combination open house and presentation format. <br />From 5;00 to 10:00 p.m., Mn/DOT representatives will be available to answer individual <br />questions regarding the project, and the public will be provided an opportunity to make comments <br />that will be recorded as part of the official public record. At 7:00 p.m., Mn/DOT will make a <br />formal public presentation of the proposed project improvement, followed by a question and <br />answer session, where Mn/DOT will respond to written questions from the public. <br />The purpose of the hearing is to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on the <br />proposed corridor location and the proposed highway improvement project on Trunk Highway 12 <br />from approximately VVayzata Boulevard in Wayzata, Minnesota, to County State Aid Highway 6 <br />(CSAH 6) in Orono, Minnesota. Court reporters will be available during the open house and <br />public hearing to record public comments. Comments will be taken privately or publicly and will <br />be limited to ive minutes. Written comments will also be accepted during the open house and <br />public hearing or by mail directed to Patti Loken, Project Manager, Minnesota Department of <br />Tran.sportation, 1500 West Count Road B-2, Roseville, Minnesota, 55113, before November 29, <br />1996. All public and written comments will become part of the public record. <br />Copies of the Trunk Highway 12 Corridor Propo.sal Report were distributed to the following city <br />offices: Long Lake, Orono, Wayzata, Tonka Bay, Spring Park, Minnetrista, Independence, <br />Medina, Plymouth, Minnetonka, Woodland, Deephaven, Shorewood, Greenwood, Excelsior and <br />Mound. Copies are also available at the following libraries: Hennepin County Regional Library <br />(Ridgedale), Wayzata Public Library, Long Lake/Orono Public Library, and Hennepin County <br />Regional Library (Maple Plain).
