Request for Council Action Continued <br />page 3 <br />November 7, 1996 <br />Telecommunications Tower and Antenna Regulation <br />The city may want to prohibit towers and antennas for some initial period to enable the various <br />vendors to sort themselves out in the market place, and to provide time for technology to solve <br />the tower and aiitenna problem by increasing the range of antennas and reducing the size and <br />improving the appearance of antennas. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to provide direction regarding the city ’s regulation of telecommunications towers and <br />antennas so that staff can draft new regulations. <br />i
