fTTACHv)^ef/T 2. <br />January 9, 1996 <br />Re: Proposed Orono Ice Arena <br />Dear <br />Orono Hockey Boosters, Inc. is proposing to <br />develop an indoor ice arena north of Orono High School, at <br />the southwest corner of Old Crystal Bay Road and County Road <br />6. A map showing the proposed site is enclosed. <br />While we are motivated to pursue this project <br />because of the tremendous growth in our youth hockey program <br />(fueled mainly by the success of our girls' program), the <br />ice^comunity"wide^ meet_ng the much larger need for indoor <br />4-K • ^ Progress on development of the project has reached <br />the point that we are commencing the process of obtaining <br />all necessary City approva.'-^. At the very start of that <br />process, though, we want to make sure that all of the nearby <br />residents who might have an interest in what is being <br />proposed have a chance to be involved in it. <br />things:Therefore, by this letter we want to do two <br />invite you to an information meeting about <br />the project for neighboring residents on <br />Wednesday, January 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the <br />Orono city Council Chambers <br />the project architect and I will make a <br />brief presentation about the project, <br />and then answer questions and take <br />comments from you. <br />remind you of a public hearing on Tuesday, <br />January 16, 1996, at 9:00 p.m. at the Orono
