EFr <br />Request for Council Action continued <br />page 2 of 2 <br />September 18, 1996 <br />Zoning File #2168 <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br />The Planning Commission recommended unanimous approval of the hardcover variance within <br />the 75-250' setback area. The enclosed resolution has been drafted per the findings and conditions <br />of the Planning Commission's recommendation. <br />Please refer to the enclosed staff memo dated September 9, 1996 for more detail and background <br />on this review. Applicants' addendum. Exhibit B, sought direction from the Planning <br />Commission regarding a future location for a garage to serve the property. Mr. Rooke advised <br />that he has been in contact with the remaining property owners along the north side of Highwood <br />Road. He advised that they may present a proposal to the City in the future regarding the creation <br />of an access drive to the rear of the properties via a 20' alley to the east that connects North Shore <br />Drive with Highwood Road, refer to Exhibit C. Applicants were advised to work with staff on <br />this proposal. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED; <br />To adopt or amend the enclosed approval resolution. <br />\
