.,^p <br />Request for Council Action continued <br />Page 2 <br />August 7, 19% <br />Amendment to 1996 Joint Use Dock License - Big Island, Inc. <br />Staff would note that the current license is for 15 transient slips, but the exhibits only defined <br />14 slip locations. For this reason, an amendment to establish the location of the 15th slip is <br />appropriate. <br />Staff has received no complaints regarding Big Island, Inc.'s use of the property, and we have <br />no information suggesting they are not in compliance with the conditions of Resolution No. <br />3006. For the record, the septic system on the property has been found to be non-conforming <br />due to lack of 3' separation, and will have to be replaced by the end of 1998. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />The proposed handicap dock would appear to be in a location and configuration that has no <br />impact on the use of the lake or neighboring properties. Staff would recommend approval of <br />this amendment to the 1996 license, with an advisory to the applicants that they must contact <br />the LMCD regarding a revision to their LMCD multiple dock license. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Adopt the attached resolution directing staff to issue an amended Joint Use Dock License to <br />Big Island, Inc. subject to conditions noted herein for the period of August 12, 1996 to <br />December 31, 1996. <br />t %
