The amendment is to add a third dock to the property, to accommodate handicapped people at a location where the topography would minimize the need for long, hazardous stairways. List of Exhibits A - B - C - D - F - G - Location Map June 27, 1996 Letter of Request/Amended Application/Dock Plan Correspondence of 7-25-96/7-17-96/5-2-96 1996 Current License Resolution and E.\hibits Proposed Resolution and Exhibits Resolution No. 3006 Discussion Big Island, Inc. owns a five acre parcel at the southwest end of the Big Island Channel, where they have operated a day use recreation area for their private membership, since 1991. This use was approved via City Council Resolution No. 3006, which includes the following condition: "1. Big Island, Inc. shall be limited to 15 slips at the shared joint use dock. Any attempt to increase the number of slips shall require an amendment of this conditional use permit and the filing of a new conditional use permit with the appropriate notice to adjacent property owners." After discussion with Mr. Scholle regarding the use of the current docks and the numbermg of slips, staff concluded that the proposed 32’ dock would essentially constitute a 15th slip m addition to the 14 shown on the current and previous site plans. Staff further concluded that this would not require an amendment to the conditional use permit, but should be considered a formal amendment to the annual Joint Use Dock License.
