Briefly, applicant proposed an extension of the existing house to accommodate a
swimming spa needed for therapeutic purposes. At their May meeting. Planning Commission
tabled the original proposal in order for applicant to redesign, with the goal of decreasing the
visual impact by lowering the room or moving it to a location on the face of the house
opposite the lake.
Planning Commission reviewed the revised proposal at their June meeting. The revised plan
uses a lower, shed-type roof with somewhat less visual impact than the original proposal. The
revised proposal still results in the following variances:
Encroachment of average lakeshore setback.
Increase in lot coverage by structures from 15.6% to 16.7%.
Additional structure less than 75 ’ from the lake.
Intensification of hardcover in the 0-75' zone.
1
i
il
