Planning & Zoning Administrator <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Zoning <br />Item Description: Approval of Plans for Turn Lane Improvements - County Roads 51 and 135 <br />Resolution <br />List of Exhibits <br />A - Resolution <br />B - Proposed Plan (Excerpts) <br />C - DNR Letter to Adjacent Property Owners <br />In conjunction with the construction of the Maxwell Bay access, Hennepin County Public Works <br />Department has requested a resolution approving the turn lane/by-pass lane improvements at the <br />intersection of North Shore Drive and Tonkawa Road. <br />The proposed detailed plans for the intersection improvements are attached as Exhibit B. The <br />detailed plans closely match the preliminary site plans previously submitted by DNR and approved <br />by the City last December. <br />The DNR has sent a letter and copy of the plans to the four property owners adjacent to the road <br />upgrades (see Exhibit C). No significant comments have been received as of this writing. <br />Because these road upgrades were reviewed as part of the public hearing process for the access, staff <br />feels there is no need for further public hearings specifically for the road upgrades. Staff <br />recommends adoption of the attached resolution which w ill be forwarded to DNR and Hennepin <br />County Public Works. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Adopt attached resolution approving plans for by-pass lane/mrn lane improvements at the <br />intersection of County Roads 51 and 135. <br />, seconded by , to adopt ResolutionProposed Motion: Moved by_________ <br />#____, approving plans for turn lane and by-pass lane improvements at the intersection of CS AH <br />51 and CSAH 135 in conjunction with construction of the Maxwell Bay access.
