Mabusth Zoning <br />Title Building & Zoning Administrator <br />Item Description: #2133 John <br />Resolution <br />and Karla Spooner, 1385 Orono Lane - V'ariances - <br />Zoning District:LR-IA <br />Lot area = 50,840 s.f. or 1.2 acres <br />Brief Review of Application <br />Applicants seek approval of lakeshore setback and hardcover variances within the 0-75' setback <br />area. They propose the removal of an existing deck at the lakeside of the residence and <br />replacement with a grade level granite patio. The improvement will result in a reduction in <br />hardcover in the 0-75' setback area of 298 s.f. or 1.2%. The existing deck is located 26' from <br />the lakeshore and the proposed patio 40 . <br />Applicants also propose the installation of a 4' x 6' cement pad at the base of an access stair <br />located in the southeast comer of the residence and the reconstmetion of an access stair located <br />out of the 0-75' setback area to the west side of the residence replacing concrete stairs that are <br />unsafe and in disrepair. The cement pad will be located 50' from the lakeshore. <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br />The Planning Commission recommended unanimous approval of the variance application as <br />proposed.
