The steep banks of this ravine are continuously eroding <br />from the runoff that enters from the west. A major benefit of this proposal is that the <br />improvement will provide control of stormwater runoff of the upland areas within applicant's <br />propert> and adjacent properties. The City will ask for drainage easements over the pond and <br />drainageways. The City Engineer will review the control structure at the southeast side of the <br />pond at the time applicant applies for a land alteration permit. <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br />The Planning Commission recommended unanimous approval of the conditional use permit <br />application for Frank Bennett involving the properties located at 315 and 405 Tonkawa Road <br />that would allow the dredging of approximately 1900 cubic yards of spoils, portions of which <br />will be used to install a new access drive linking applicant's homestead property with the <br />subject propert>’ to the immediate south. The enclosed approval resolution has been drafted <br />per the findings and conditions of the Planning Commission recommendation. <br />COUNCIL action REQUESTED: <br />To either adopt or amend the enclosed approval resolution.
