At its February 26. 1996 meeting the City Council decided against
participation in the joint effort. The joint effort involves a joint grant application to the LCMR
for ftmding of efforts to manage the goose population and the problems caused by a large goose
population in the lake area.
I have attached two letters from the MCWD in support of the goose management program, and
indicating the MCWD will contribute $10,000 toward the joint program if alt 14 of the Lake
Minnetonka cities agree to panicipate in the program.
The city’s participation in the program involves participation in a grant application to the
LCMR, and a commitment to provide $1,000 in each of two years toward the goose management
program,
■ Tiiiirramf ■■■
