OBERHAUSER
Oux Pile: 1418-1
Dear Ms. Mabuoth:
On February 13, 1996, I was informed by the Mound Firs Chief,
Steven EricJ^son, that the structures at 3865 and 3875 Shoreline
Drive, Orono, were scheduled to be burned down on Saturday at 10:00
a.m., February 17, 1996. Mr. Erickson asked that we make
arrangements v;ith Minr.egasco and Northern States Power to have gas
lines cut leading to the structures, the removal of the gas meters,
cutting the electrical wires and the removal of the electrical
meters.
Upon contacting Minnegasco, I was informed that Febiruary 17, 1996
was not an acceptable date, due to the fact that Minnegasco had to
the lines leading to the structures and because of the
winter v/eather conditions, it would take 3 to 4 days just to thaw
frocer. graunc in order to reach the lines. In addition,
Minnegasco needed several days advance notice to cut lines to homes
and time to obtain permits.
Steve Erickson then scheduled the burning for Saturday, Marc.n
1996 v;hich was the earliest date the fire department could do
j ob.
A,
the
.-n order was placed with Minr.egasco cn February 14, 1995 to k-11
lines and r^srnove meters before March. 2, 1996..
■ I
d
