J- <br />- I • <br />RESOLUTION <br />REQUESTING CONVEYANCE OF TAX FORFEIT LAND <br />AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS <br />Whereas, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and existing under the <br />laws of the state of Minnesota; <br />VVliereas, on January 10, 1994, the Orono City Council adopted Resolution No.3379, <br />requesting that a tax forfeit parcel described as P.I.D. No. 07-117-23 23 0001 be conveyed to <br />the City of Orono: <br />Whereas, on December 12, 1994, the Orono City Council adopted Resolution No. 3511, <br />requesting asain that a tax forteit parcel described as P.I.D. No. 07-117-23 23 0001 be conveyed <br />to the Citv of Orono: <br />NOW I'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />1. That the City of Orono reaffirms the above-stated resolutions and requests that the <br />entire 9.35 acre tax forfeit parcel be conveyed to the City of Orono for park and open space <br />purposes at no cost, with the exception of a 0.5 acre portion conveyed to Steven and Joan Valek. <br />2. That city staff, including the city attorney, is directed to use all effort to effecmate <br />said conveyance to the City of Orono. <br />3. That the Saga Hill Preserv-ation Society shall be included in all discussions, meetings. <br />and other effons to obtain said conveyance. <br />4. That the City of Orono requests that Hennepin County confirm in writing by no later <br />tlian March 4. 1996. that said parcel will be withheld from sale at the Spring 1996 tax forfeit <br />land sale. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono.
