Staff have indicated a number of serious <br />concerns and problems with tiying to develop the northern portion of the parcel for residential <br />use. A meeting has been scheduled with the County Tax Forfeit Property statY on February 29 <br />to further confirm the city’s interest in the full parcel, and to further clarify concerns and <br />problems related to developing the northern half of the property for residential use. <br />A redrafted resolution reconfirming the city’s interest in the full parcel, and requesting written <br />confirmation from the County tliat the parcel will be withheld from the spring 1996 public <br />auction process is attached for Council review and approval. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to adopt the attached resolution requesting conveyance of the tax forfeit parcel to the city <br />for public use. <br />- ^
