One of these is <br />Candace Rowlette, who has resigned from the Commission. Also, the terms of two Park <br />Commissioners expired on December 31, 1995. <br />Planning Commission <br />The remaining Planning Commission members whose terms are expiring are Steve Peterson who <br />was initially appointed on March 9, 1992, and Charles Schroeder who was initially appointed <br />on April 22, 1991. <br />Park Commission <br />The two Park Commissioners whose terms are expiring are Robert Howells, who was initially <br />appointed in Februar>' of 1992; and Andrew McDermott III, who was originally appointed in <br />July of 1995. <br />The Council may at this time want to make a preliminary determination regarding the eligibility <br />of the commissioners for additional terms. Based on this determination staff will contact the <br />commission members as to their interest in serving an additional term. When the number of <br />vacancies is known, staff will advertise for applicants in the local newspapers. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to direct staff to contact commission members to determine their interest in serving an <br />additional term.
