r <br />I <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF A <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER TO SERVE THE <br />SHORELINE DRIVE (WEST OF HERITAGE LANE) AREA <br />WHEREAS, project area residents have submitted a letter indicating interest in obtaining <br />sanitary sewer, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has provided preliminary cost estimates for a sanitary <br />sewer extension however additional information is needed in order to establish the feasibility of <br />such a project, and <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed that municipal sanitary sewer trunks and/or laterals be <br />constructed to serve the area on Shoreline Drive west of Heritage Lane and that the benefitted <br />property(s) be assessed for all of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br />Chapter 429. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota that <br />the proposed improvements be referred to the City Engineer for study Md that he is instructed to <br />report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to <br />whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost effective, and feasible and whether it should <br />best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement and the estimated cost <br />of the improvement as recommended. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono this 10th day of November, 1997. <br />ATTEST:Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />Dorothy M.
