r <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISIONS 1(A AND B) AND 2, AND <br />SECTION 10.25, SUBDIVISION 6(B> <br />FILE NO. #2307 <br />WHEREAS, Ellen Peterson (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner of the <br />property located at 3355 Crystal Bay Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "the City") <br />and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 11, Wallaces Addition to the Village of Minnetonka Beach (hereinafter "the <br />property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivisions 1(A and B) and 2 and Section 10.25, Subdivision <br />6(B) to permit the construction of a carport with deck above attached to the front of the <br />existing residence. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. <br />2. <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2307. <br />The property is located in the LR-IC Single Family Rural Residential Zoning <br />District requiring one half acre in area. The property consists of 5,190 s.f. or <br />.12 acre. <br />3.The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on October 20, 1997 <br />and recommended approval of the proposed variance based upon the following <br />findings: <br />1.
