Flint said Orono residents would probably prefer three lanes as the road <br />carries alot of traflBc. He feels it would be a mistake to upgrade the road inadequately. <br />Kelley clarified that the desire is for a middle turn lane. He questioned whether the cost <br />sharing should be negotiated with Plymouth due to the amenities being included. Flint <br />noted to the Orono residents also want the trail to be constructed. He had noted to <br />the residences on the Plymouth side are closer to the road and appreciate the trail beiiig <br />located there. <br />G^a indicated that the cost share requires Council approval. He suggested a possible <br />joint public hearing for comments and for approval by both Councils. <br />Jabbour noted there are many smaller lots in Plymouth than in Orono. <br />Kdley srid the intersection at CoRd 6 is of most importance to him. He noted there is a <br />steep slope at the intersection and asked how much of it will be regraded. Gappa <br />indicated that the entire approach to Ferndale will be regraded He said CoRd 6 is not <br />part of this particular project. Kelley asked if fill would be required to be brou^ in. <br />Gappa said h would for the landing zone. Kdley was informed that the landing zone <br />wouJd be about S0-7S'. Cook said it would depend on the impact on the area. <br />Gappa noted that the road improvement would aflto 100 homes in Orono and 300 <br />homes in Plymouth. <br />Kdley fdt additional traffic would be traveling to the golf course. Flint said the western <br />portion of Wayzata would also use this road. <br />Gappa indicated the next stq> in the process is the fearibility report. <br />Jabbour a.sked Moorse to speak with members of the Plymouth Coundl to ddermine the <br />appropriate time for a joint meeting to be held as soon as possible. <br />Jabbour noted the engineers and Mn/DOT will be in attendance at the Thursday meeting <br />regarding stormwater management. <br />CITY ATTORNEY’S REPORT <br />City Attorney Barrett had no report. <br />(*#19) LICENSES <br />There were no license applications.
