1 ijiW ' • or) <br />> » <br />I ) <br />.0 ♦ <br />r *r> <br />AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING PARTIAL PREPAYMENT OF <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br />The City Council of the City of Orono ordains. <br />Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.061, Subdivision 3, allows partial prepayment of special <br />assessments prior to certification of the assessments with the County Auditor. <br />The Orono City Council desires to provide the owners of the properties assessed for public <br />improvement projects with the opportunity to partially prepay the assessments as approved by the <br />City Council. <br />Property owners assessed for public improvement projects may partially prepay their <br />assessment in the following manner: <br />1. No interest shall be charged for partial prepayments made within thirty (30) days from <br />the date of adoption of the assessment. <br />2. Partial prepayments made after thirty (30) days from the adoption date of the <br />assessment and before October 1, of the year of the assessment, shall incur interest <br />based upon the entire assessment through December 31 of the year of the assessment. <br />Adopted oy the Orono City Council this 12th day of May, 1997. <br />ATTEST:Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />Dorothy M.
