Metropolitan Council Sewer Availability Charge (SAC): S950 for 1997, subject to <br />typical annual increase of $50, payable to City at time of connection. <br />2. Connection costs: Property owner must hire a contractor to make the connection <br />from your residence to the sewer stub provided at your property line. This cost can <br />vary considerably depending on the nature of the connection (i.e. length, depth, <br />whether plumbing re-routing in basement is required, etc.) but may range from <br />$1,000 to $5,000. <br />3. City connection permit: $35.50 <br />Upon connection, the property owner will no longer be charged the annual $50 septic system service <br />charge, but will begin paying a quarterly Municipal Sewer Charge, currently $74.50/quarter. <br />The City code allows up to 16 months to connect, from the date service becomes available. <br />Properties wth failing septic systems will be required to connect as soon as service is available.
