The overtaking and/or passing of any craft in u channel or narrow <br />passage by the operator of any motor boat, speed boat, or of any vessel under power, so as to <br />endanger other craft; and all craft shall proceed through all channels and narrow passages of <br />water at safe speeds, otherwise the operator shall be deemed to have committed a public <br />nuisance. <br />■Siihsecrion ft. The failure to equip and maintain lights, and to have such lights lighted <br />when the boat or vessel is operating within the harbor limits of the city at night. <br />Subsection 9. Obstructing or interfering with passage of a boat or ve.s.sel through a <br />channel or narrow passageway. <br />Subsection 10. Operating a boat or vessel in a caiclcss or reckless manner in or about <br />a public swimming beach. <br />Subsection 11. Swimming in a channel, or jumping or diving from a channel bridge. <br />Subsection 12. Operating any watercraft, automobile, vehicle or powered propelled <br />device on the open water, or upon an ice covered body of water, in such a manner as to <br />endanger life, limb or property. <br />Subsection 13. Selling food, beverages, supplies or other merchandise from any <br />watercraft on the lake; provided however, that food and beverages may be sold on watercraft <br />to passengers who leave the shore and return on the watercraft on which such food and <br />beverages are sold. <br />Suhggction 14. Use of chemical.s for weed or pest control. <br />Section 8. Dock Moving and Stnictiu-e Regulation . The City may regulate the location, <br />construction, installation, maintenance, number, size, and use of docks, moorings and other <br />stixicturcs within the harbor limits. <br />Section 9. Notices . Owners of docks used by the public shall post two (2) legible copies <br />of this Ordinance on or near dock. <br />Section 10. Penalty . Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shiill be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed seven hundred <br />dollars ($700.00) or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days. <br />037/14124097 4/10/97 <br />i <br />I
