i
Mr. Greg Gappa, P.E.
Director of Public Services
January 31,1997
Page!
Re: Antoine Park Buildings
Based on the site observations and the requirements of the current building codes both buildings
would require extensive work to bring them up to current standards and be structurally sound. If
the easterly building were to be repaired with the necessary structural modifications, replace the
shingles and paint the building, the approximate cost is $10,000. There is no economical way to
repair or rehabilitate the westerly building.
As an option to upgrading these building, a new free standing park shelter could be considered.
For a hexagon park building with a 30 foot diameter, 585 square feet, constructed of wood and a
concrete slab, the approximate cost 314,000. For a 40 foot diameter building, 1,040 square feet,
the approximate cost is $23,000. Enclosed is a copy of a brochure showing the hexagon parks
building.
If you have any questions on this matter, please call me at 604-4760.
Sincerely,
BQNESTROO, ROSENE, ANDERLK & ASSOCIATES, INC.
JDPicv
Enclosure
cc: Glenn Cook
