Gappa Title Director of Public Services Administrator Reviewed: 0 Agenda Section: Administrator's Report Item Description: Playground Equipment Upgrade for Antoine Park The Park Commission is recommending a project for the upgrading of the existing playground equipment at Antoine Park. This park is legated along Eagerness Point Road. This park contains several pieces of older playground equipment. The Park Commission is in the process of upgrading playground equipment in parks throughout the City. The playground equipment in the City parks is need of upgrading. There have not been any major upgrades of park equipment for quite some time in the City parks. Recent equipment upgrades have been completed at Crystal Bay Park and Bederwood Park. The only two remaining City parks with playground equipment are Hackberry Park and Navarre Park. These parks are planned for future equipment upgrades. The attached memo to the Park Commission members provides a description and proposed costs for this project. A cost summary is shown below. Installation of Landscape Structures Playground Equipment by Earl F. Anderson Inc. Bloomington. Minnesota Site Grading $23,166 $5,100 Pea Gravel Surfacing $2,III Handicapped Access Path and Surfacing Total Estimated Costs $3,000 $33,266 A recommendation for completion of this project was approved at the April 7th Park Commission meeting. This project is proposed to be funded from Park Dedication Funds. For your information, a Park Dedication Fund balance summary is attached. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to authorize playground equipment upgrade for Antoine Park with funding from Park Dedication Funds, and to authorize completion of the necessary budget adjustments. jiaiiHhMiniiillilii .....................
