Summary and Recommendations <br />The construction of sanitary sewer and force main to serve the Bay Ridge area is feasible from an <br />engineering standpoint. The project is necessary because of the potential pollution problems to Lake <br />Minnetonka and the surrounding watershed. The capital cost a.s well a.s operation and maintenance <br />costs have been considered in determining that the project is cost effective. The cost of these <br />improvements are interrelated and should be assigned equitably between all propertie.s. The <br />following recommendations are presented for consideration by the Orono City Council: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />That this Report be adopted as the guide for installation of *anitary sewer in the Bay <br />Ridge area. <br />That the City conduct a legal and fiscal review of the proposed project prior to the <br />public hearing. <br />That a public hearing be hetd on the proposed improvements.
